"Living Life God's Way"

Prayer wonderfully clears the vision; steadies the nerves;
defines duty; stiffens the purpose;
sweetens and strengthens the spirit.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication,
with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;
and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding,
will guard your hearts and mind through Jesus Christ.
Philippians 4: 6-7
Prayer needs to be a priority in our day. It is powerful when it is constant, not simply squeezed in at the end of the day. When we are in constant communication with God, we become very aware of His presence. What a difference it makes, as we invite Him to be an active participant in each part of our day; from the way we conduct business; our relationships and day to day tasks. He is certainly concerned about all that we do; from the most serious to the most trivial, and desires to empower us, sustain us, and give us wisdom in all things. When things seem to be going great in our lives, our prayers tend to decrease. Prayer is just as important in the good times, as in a crisis. Seeking God's advice as we walk through each phase of our day, will cause our actions to align with His will; changing our outlook; and allowing us to take advantage of each opportunity, to accomplish His will within our day.
Prayer: I thank You for Your faithfulness and unfailing love. Whatever this day holds for me, I will embrace it with confidence, knowing that through Christ I can do all things. I invite You to be with me throughout my day. Guard my heart and mind. Help me to be constantly aware of Your presence, and to seek Your advice and will so that Your will may be accomplished in my life today. Amen
